Corporate Safety

Our Corporate Safety department implements medical programs and workers compensation and helps employees dealing with lost time to injury. They also conduct fight safety investigations and educate pilots on potential safety threats and more. The emergency response team falls under this department as well.

Job overview and responsibilities

Responsible for collecting and managing operational data. Primary daily responsibility will be the processing aircraft damage reports including reaching out to involved locations/divisions and staff to obtain appropriate investigation materials. Liase with division peers to determine root cause of the damage and asses damage record ability based on all available information. In addition, The incumbent will review data, recommend analysis trends, develop forecasting models and accurate predictions, develop annual goals for the entire organization, and communicate with stakeholders (including senior level executives) on keeping data updated and visible to key internal customers

  • Monitor and review data, reports, trends and initiate further data review when high risks are identified and track results of operational Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) changes; ensure adherence to regulatory and internal regulations through proper recordkeeping and reporting.

  • Support special requests from internal divisions and prepare analytical reports on Operational Division performance to be used in risk reduction and mitigation. Produce reports and presentations and provide analytical subject matter expertise utilizing statistical techniques in conjunction with industry standards to complete risk assessment of events and safety issues.

  • Develop forecasting models and accurate predictions, develop annual goals for the organization, and communicate with stakeholders (including senior level executives) on keeping data updated and visible to key internal customers. Assist development and implementation of corporate compliance management system assessment and corrective action projects and developing recommendations for improvements for reducing damages and improving overall aircraft reliability. Determine methodologies for total costs of damage from an airline reliability perspective—Out of service, events and opportunities and implement improvement strategies.

  • Responsible for departmental database programs, provide technical assistance, coordination and training for operational individuals utilizing the applicable corporate database program. Responsibilities may include contract coordination, invoicing reviews and budget tracking and forecasting, manual administration, and weekly activity reporting.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to utilize operational experience and internal workplace tools (e.g., SSD, TOCS, etc.) to assess, investigate and determine aircraft damage cause.

  • Demonstrated, verbal and written communication skills

  • Minimum of two years experience analytical background

  • Basic knowledge of regulatory agencies and industry safety systems

  • Experienced in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software

  • Experienced in Airline Operating divisions; experience in database management and development

  • Successful candidate will be tech savvy with a willingness to learn and develop dashboards and performance metrics.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistical analysis or mathematics

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Ramp or Technical Operations or equivalent

  • Presentation experience

  • Cross functional experience involving the application of safety process, initiatives, and risk assessment and compliance validations

  • Problem resolution, cross functional experience.

  • Experience in Safety Management System or related technical experience in the field of aviation safety
