Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

As an Analyst in Strategic Planning, you will work alongside our fleet portfolio owners to optimize maintenance plans, minimize out of service aircraft, maximize capacity utilization, and reduce overall life cycle cost. You will be working on planning projects such as data mining, discovering trends, creating analysis, and assisting with continuous improvements. This position requires innovation and critical strategic thinking to drive and deliver improvements in the planning organization.

  • Create, maintain, and implement long term airframe maintenance plans

  • Support team with day to day responsibilities as well as identify and resolve issues arising between the different stakeholders such as Planning, Engineering, Records, or Maintenance Programs

  • Conduct data analysis and display data in an articulate and meaningful manner that resonates with project champion, owner, and team members

  • Perform strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation of aircraft maintenance plans to optimize cost and aircraft safety

  • Performance tracking on key metrics to create a feedback loop for continuous improvement


  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, or related field

  • 1 year of internship or professional experience working on a fast paced, results oriented team

  • 1 year of experience working on individual tasks and projects independently with little direction

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and identifying trends

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact at all levels (including executive) and team with all internal and external business partners

  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Basic Excel skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • Experience in Airline maintenance, planning, analysis, or related function

  • Advanced Excel (VBA and Macros)

  • Data Visualization (Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)

  • Basic SQL or other programming language
