Job overview and responsibilities
Responsible for negotiating price, delivery and quality of services for all tactical requirements of goods and services in support of the airline operation. Responsible for providing advice and guidance to end users, employing a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Work in a team setting, with the objective of meeting the expectations of the customer.
Negotiating with suppliers and coordinating with Sourcing Team and Business Unit on execution of Supply Agreements or Service Agreements
Execute Purchase Orders and process PO changes to ensure all purchases made in accordance with company policies and procedures
Manage invoice exceptions by reviewing tolerance failure and type of failure and resolving exception
Provides support and guidance to end users and suppliers in regard to tactical purchases through various United procurement systems
College degree or equivalent work experience
High quality of work, productivity / volume of work, and computer proficiency skills
A minimum of three years of experience in a purchasing role or equivalent
Strong communication and project management skills. Excellent analytical skills. Knowledgeable of sourcing processes
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
CPM or CPSM
Procurement experience in Indirect Procurement and system support
