Corporate Communications

This position will lead a team to proactively and confidently engage stakeholders and key influencers to create opportunities to shape United's public image and build United's brand in key markets around the world. The team will be an integral member of United’s Corporate Communications team and will conceive, manage and implement communications campaigns to promote the United brand both externally and internally, and capitalize on every opportunity to promote United in local, national, and international media.

  • Build United's brand through creative and strategic media relations initiatives. Develop messaging and amplification strategies for key initiative and/or products

  • Provides leadership and direction to high performing/high visibility team and accountable for performance, results of brand team

  • Influence internal/external stakeholders to build United's brand

  • Utilize expertise in news-making, messaging management and impact measurement

  • Collaborate closely and effectively with peer groups to advance a common message

  • Lead the development of market announcements and programs

  • Direct communications campaigns internally and externally


  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field

  • 7+ years of Corporate Communication experience

  • 2+ years experience leading a team

  • Ability to work with senior executives and navigate complex business issues. Strong people leader who models character, thinks creatively, and fosters teamwork.

  • Ability to develop messaging, and integrated communications plans and strategies.

  • Analytical thought process with high integrity

  • Execution and process oriented, forward thinking, diligent and creative

  • Capacity to deliver against quality, timing and cost targets

  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional teams

  • Superior business writing and editing skills

  • Strong project management skills; Ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills; promotes open communication within the department and the division

  • Motivational and persuasion skills

  • Highly effective in a fast paced environment, strong quantitative and analytical skills, excellent cross functional collaboration with teams; works well under pressure
