Job overview and responsibilities

From June to August 2020, the Cargo eCommerce intern will be responsible for supporting the redesign of United Cargo’s website and other web portal functionality and capabilities. This role will partner with Cargo eCommerce, Marketing, Customer Service, IT, and Sales teams to recommend website enhancements, migrate existing content to the new site and implement website development best practices to improve United Cargo’s user experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with United Cargo stakeholders to identify and write website content

  • Migrate and publish digital content to content management system and any relevant digital channels, including social

  • Partner with United Cargo stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve website functionality and the user experience of unitedcargo.com

  • Write and publish

  • Support user acceptance testing of web enhancements for unitedcargo.com during and post-launch

  • Communicate website issues and/or defects to appropriate parties and coordinate with external teams to mitigate risks

Required Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Must be a current undergraduate or MBA student pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing or related field

  • Experience in eCommerce or web content environment

  • Previous experience in creating digital content

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs

  • Solid interpersonal and project management skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience communicating business requirements

  • Experience working within a content management system

  • Previous experience in SEO, Google AdWords and/or digital advertising

  • Proficient in basic HTML
