The eCommerce Digital Production Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team that is responsible for implementing content and front end code changes on United’s digital touchpoints (including websites, mobile and kiosks) as it relates to front end design and marketing activities in support of Marketing Communications, Merchandising, Reservations, Airport Operations, and Loyalty initiatives. The Production Manager will be accountable for ensuring the customers receive accurate and up-to-date information while maintaining a high level of quality. The position will also be responsible for implementing coding best practices and staying on top of trends in the marketplace and standardizing technical web production processes to ensure speed to market without putting quality at risk. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, excellent communication, project management/ process optimization skills, and a strong commitment to quality. The scope and responsibility of this role is global and covers both subsidiary CO/UA and future state.
The eCommerce Digital Production Manager will supervise five technical web producers responsible for a wide variety of tasks relating to implementation including building, modifying, maintaining, and optimizing the content on United’s digital interactive channels. This role will ensure the quality of delivery of new customer enhancements and maintenance for a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the organization including Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce, Customer Service and Loyalty. This team is responsible for responding to, supporting, and implementing customer communications for operational issues, outages, and crisis response. This role will be responsible for providing excellent service to internal customers and being the single point of contact for the production execution on United’s digital interactive channels. The Production Manager will be one of the primary interfaces with key vendors that support content management through digital channels. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential to ensure we deliver the best experience through United’s digital interactive channels. The Production Manager will manage timelines and synchronize resource allocation to work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a diverse group of constituents is required. The hiring, mentoring, and fostering of success team members will be a major accomplishments of this role and team. The Production Manager must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment. United’s digital channels are in operations 24/7 and the team will need to be available for on-call after hours support on a rotating basis.
The eCommerce Digital Production Manager will need to identify production process improvement and integration of the team with other business processes. Supervise team to ensure consistency and quality in work deliverables. Identify appropriate areas for self-publishing and work to implement. Researching trends and changes in technologies as well as coding and browser standards is required. Support best practices for English and local language display on United’s digital interactive channels, SEO, and tagging. The Production Manager will need to have great problem solving skills to meet the business demand as evolution continues in the digital interactive space. Creative solutions when working within production constraints is a must.
Demonstrated knowledge of production principles

4+ years in digital interactive publishing (web) including internet protocols, browsers, cross-browser and cross platform implementation and testing, foreign character displays
1+ years managing a team
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
