United Airlines Senior Analyst -- Catering Operations Strategy and Analysis in Chicago, Illinois

The primary role of Sr. Analyst – Catering Operations Strategy and Analysis is to provide support for Catering Execution team with projects and initiatives aligned with short term goals and long term strategy for United Catering facilities to include innovation, ground service support equipment, facility, procurement and real estate. Supports a consistent approach to process improvement, technology integration and employee engagement across our catering operation. The analyst will work with various stakeholders in the catering facilities, engage with both operational leaders and senior leaders within and outside of the Catering division to manage execute projects and initiatives that align with long term goals for United Catering operations, support execution and enhance operational reliability through process, automation and technology.

-Responsible for coordination, execution, communication and documentation of strategic initiatives. Creates value by identifying opportunities, providing analysis and quantifying deliverables.

-Creates process documentation, training, documents project steps and deliverables, timelines, execution plans and dashboards and works with outside parties on similar documentation to ensure project execution.

-Facilitate communication, coordination and relationship building with leaders across the organization and enterprise to effectively create necessary knowledge base support efforts that align with enterprise and industry operations and objectives

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Social Sciences or similar field

  • Experience in managing key projects and timelines required

  • Experience leading cross functional teams with demonstrated goal achievement required

  • Experience crafting polished deliverables and strategic recommendations in Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Experience working in high paced agile environments with multiple priorities

  • 4 years of related work experience

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of process mapping and business process workflows

  • Demonstrates ability to delivers results in cross functional environments

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to develop realistic goals and implementation plans

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Strong conflict resolution skills

  • Data analytics and modeling skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field preferred

  • Experience in food service operations, manufacturing or airline business management preferred

  • Experience in data analytics, dashboards and project management tools preferred

  • Experience in process optimization including LEAN preferred
