Our Sales team is the largest revenue-generation department at United. They work closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, and corporate clients.

Job overview and responsibilities

This role will be responsible for strategic design, development, and implementation of Worldwide Sales Incentive Programs and Goals. Responsible for ensuring all incentive payments are paid on time and accurately, while also setting the direction and leading all JV initiatives and strategic development of the regional TMC and Leisure TMC portfolios. This role will lead the analysis and implementation of sales incentive programs to grow revenue and market share.

  • Sales goal design - Designs semi-annual goal programs for each sales team consisting of 2-3 meansureable goals per team

  • Scope is apporximately 20 different sales teams located both in the US and internationally

  • Sales incentives design - Designs payout curves, payout rules and related program design needs for each sales team, ensuring consistency where possible while complying with rules governing each team

  • Sales incentives admininstration & governance - Procudes monthly reporting to sales teams and leadership on goal and incentive performance

  • Calculates semi-annual payouts and produces compensation statements

  • Owns the process for considering exception requests and makes sure all stakeholders follow the process

  • Launch and manage effective, revenue generative TMC incentive programs

  • Communicate agency performance and incentive details with account management and leadership

  • Work cross-functionally with account management and Pricing & Revenue Management to Plan and implement tactical actions to increase agency share and revenue performance


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 2 years experience as an Analyst

  • Strong analytical skills essential. Experience using SQL, BRIO, Access, and/or Excel

  • Must develop new and better approaches to problems or challenges

  • Project Management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • 2 years of sales/airline management experience

  • 4 years of incentive and/or project management experience
