Pricing and Revenue Management

The Pricing and Revenue Management department helps us run a successful business by predicting consumer demand and setting up pricing structures.

Job overview and responsibilities

Drive incremental revenues by supporting the creation of new and enhanced existing revenue management technologies and business processes, coordinating cross-functional implementation of systems changes with all RM market groups, CIEO and IT.

  • Ensure that the department has the right tools and processes it needs to maximize RASM

  • Support identification and research of business opportunities in the Pricing and Revenue Management areas

  • Test hypotheses based on subject area expertise

  • Analyze and detect patterns in data, with minimal guidance

  • Support definition of problems and plans in ways that can be solved using quantitative techniques and implemented through development of automated systems or procedural techniques

  • Work with RDS and PDS leadership to plan future directions for systems and business processes

  • Communicate recommendations effectively to management

  • Attend to internal airline RM and operations research forums in order to keep abreast of the latest advances in the science of Revenue Management

  • Evaluate project ideas and requests received by the team, determine benefits, feasibility, and develop testing and implementation plans and timelines

  • Develop practical and theoretically grounded guidance to support the department’s decisions working collaboratively with CIEO and IT

  • Listen attentively to stakeholders both inside and outside the department and identify “win-win” solutions

  • Prioritize projects and requests appropriately, seeking guidance when necessary

  • Support cross-departmental efforts to implement solutions where necessary


  • 3 years of OR or RM work experience

  • Bachelors degree (Operations Research, Math, Statistics, Economics or an equivalent analytical degree)

  • Fully understands the concepts of RM and their application in our RM systems

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Brio and PowerPoint

  • SQL skill

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Good oral and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task & project-manage

  • Naturally curious and a strong aptitude to learn

  • Ability to understand the use of sophisticated models such as simulations, statistical analysis and data mining techniques

  • Logical and structured approach to complex tasks

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • Masters Degree in same areas


  • Intermediate SQL

  • Beginner SAS (or equivalent)

  • 2 or more years of OR or RM work experience
