Technical Operations

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, repair and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Analytics is responsible for providing Process Improvement support and strategic direction of advanced analytics for the Supply Chain team. This role requires an individual with passion for Process Simplification and data analytics with the willingness to dig deep into details as well as the ability to assess the big picture. Candidate should have work experience with data extraction, data mining and problem solving; business case analysis and presentation; analytical and statistical modeling; and a process improvement in a maintenance production environment. This role will require strategic thinking and strong internal and external client relationship.

High-level responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop and implement analytical methodologies, processes, and technological solutions to develop recommendations for process improvements

  • Collaborate with TO leadership to identify Process Improvement/Process Simplification opportunities and lead Problem Solving initiatives

  • Execute process improvement solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling and machine learning techniques

  • Continuously develop and demonstrate improved analysis methodologies and tracks and measures results of improvement initiatives

  • Develop and validate evaluation metrics and models to analyze business performance and areas of opportunity and improve processes

  • Evaluates, tests, and recommends new opportunities for enhancing processes


  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Math, Statistics, Operations Research and/or Industrial Engineering or related field

  • Proven comfort and an intellectual curiosity for working with very large sets of data, pulling in relevant team members to address identified (and sometimes undiscovered) needs

  • Experienced in manipulating and analyzing complex, large data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships.

  • Be proficient in using very large datasets, querying tools (ie. SQL, Python) and hands-on modeling experience on SAS or R.

  • Be proficient w/ one or more data visualization tools (ie. Spotfire / Tableau / Oracle).

  • Be able to communicate complex quantitative analysis & algorithms in a clear, precise & actionable manner

  • At least 2 years experience in analytics

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

  • Project management experience

  • At least 1+ years of Airline experience

  • At least 1+ years of Supply Chain experience
