Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Manager of the Digital Technology PMO is accountable for the enterprise-wide process for project intake and delivery, including validating controls, ensuring compliance, calculating and communicating business value of projects, and governing decisions related to investment goals, policies, infrastructure and architecture.

This role provides leadership on project lifecycle methodologies, champions best practices in project estimation, staffing, management, methodology and ensures critical IT functions are incorporated appropriately into projects (e.g., security, architecture, etc.). The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management and governance, as well as experience in digital transformation initiatives, possesses strategic thinking to identify process improvements and project delivery efficiencies, and have a proven track record of executing on transformation initiatives.

• Develops and drives consistent enterprise-wide processes for project intake and project delivery

• Improves program management processes for efficiency, repeatability, predictability, and improved productivity and quality

• Validates controls to ensure they meet core guidelines for the enabling divisions and ensures governance functions align to company’s operating model

• Evaluate general and specific training needs, recommend and develop training plans and deliver training across the division in support of governance processes and controls

• Works with Finance to improve processes and create a consistent method for calculating and communicating business value for projects and portfolios

• Assesses the health of the portfolio of IT investments, communicates IT risks and sets up feedback mechanisms, and actively identifies and pursues improvement opportunities

• Manages team of analysts and/or senior analysts; mentor team through talent and skill development (e.g. strategic thinking, entrepreneurial skills, etc.)

• Can drive maturity of the PMO organization and actively develop strategies for continuous transformation

• Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders, leaders, project managers, etc., to drive changes and evolve the PMO


Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, or related field

• IT Project Management; Project Governance

• IT methods and tools; project management metrics and KPIs

• Process engineering

• Change management best practices

• Process Management; Project Management; Training Delivery; Business Consulting; Change Management; Management and leadership

• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Server, SharePoint

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• 5-7 years in technical project management, PMO / Governance

• 2-5 years in training delivery, change management, or equivalent

• 1-year managerial experience

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


• Advanced degree in business, engineering, or information systems

• Experience in infrastructure projects and programs

• Budget and financial management experience

• MS Project Server, SharePoint, Office

• Negotiation; Stakeholder Management

• Comfort in dealing with uncertainty and information gaps

• Data/analytics

• 3 years of relevant industry experience
