Job overview and responsibilities

The primary role of the Senior Manager – UAX Analysis is to develop strategic analyses and reporting and measurement mechanisms for all levels of the organization and for our flying partners. The Senior Manager reports directly to the Managing Director - UAX Analysis and Performance Management and is responsible for developing analyses and insights in conjunction with the UAX leadership team and other United departments (i.e. Airport Operations, Technical Operations, etc.) to drive actionable and measurable improvements within the UAX organization. Additionally this person will provide leadership, mentoring and training to all levels and functions on the use and practice of using data to drive decision making, root cause analysis and problem solving.

  • Partners with UAX funtional teams and UAX flying partners to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze information and data and develop improvement opportunities across the operation

  • Develops new analytic methods, reports and data uses to drive actionable insights to improve the operational and commercial performance of our flying partners

  • Works with our flying partners to develop methods to capture additional data that is not currently tracked or available

  • Drives problem solving and process improvement activities to help streamline reporting, analysis and measurement functions across the UAX organization

  • Develops end-to-end executive level communications for high level report outs

Required

  • BS Engineering OR related discipline involving quantitative analysis

  • 5+ years of experience working in a leadership role in vendor management, performance management or consulting

  • 1+ year of people management experience

  • Project management experience

  • Root cause analysis experience

  • Airport or Network operations experience

  • Experience in data analysis and visulatization software

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment

  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively

  • Ability to manipulate large datasets and create meaningful business insights

  • Ability to lead large cross-functional teams to drive business results

  • Able to lead and motivate a remote team on a different time zone

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration

  • Previous airline business experience

  • Experience working with regional airlines

  • Specific expertise with United data systems

  • Expertise with Palantir's Foundry

  • Experience in process improvement
