Administrative Assistant - Catering Operations, Denver, CO (DEN)

Job overview and responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant provides primary administrative support to the General Manager. This role is responsible for all facets of clerical, planning, and calendars to ensure all related/required needs are met to maximize the time and effectiveness of General manager. The Catering Operations team in Denver works in a unit with 500 to 600 employees.

  • Prepare agendas and schedules

  • Organize meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel

  • Compose weekly activity report from data provided by managers

  • Prepare presentations for Quarterly Managers’ Meeting and Yearly Planning Conference

  • Assist with organizing special events to include bi-monthly meetings and employee appreciation functions

  • Provide primary support with issue/need assessment to manage scheduled and unscheduled visitors and co-workers as required with their interaction with the General Manager

  • Ensure all administrative related/required needs are met to maximize the time and effectiveness for internal customers

  • Work independently and self-directed within all areas of responsibilities to include special, non-recurring and ongoing projects

  • Work collaboratively with Human Resources and Finance team with support needs to/from the General Manager

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or an educational equivalent to these (from another country) required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Must have an "advanced" knowledge of the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

  • A minimum of three (3) years in office administrative role required

Other

  • Must be able to pass recruitment administered Microsoft application test

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • This is an entry level, administrative position

  • This position may require working an occasional evening or weekend

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and United Airlines will not offer any type of relocation assistance
