Job overview and responsibilities

The Associate Analyst will support United’s MileagePlus Loyalty Operations team, by handling customer escalations and MileagePlus test accounts, as well as creating reporting and conducting analyses using loyalty and other data sources. The associate analyst will be responsible for building business acumen in the loyalty operations area, using SQL to create and run complex queries to pull large datasets. The associate analyst will build dashboards using Spotfire and other data visualization and reporting tools, and transition audit and reporting tasks from Chicago operations team. This position will produce regular reports on escalations, and hold daily calls with liaison in Chicago office to determine root cause and next steps to resolve customer issues efficiently. The associate analyst will translate data findings into insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions within United’s wholly owned subsidiary United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong interest in improving customer experience for loyalty program

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, creating complex queries using tools such as Teradata SQL Assistant or other database tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be detail-oriented, thorough and analytical with a desire for continuous improvements

  • Must be adept at juggling several projects and initiatives simultaneously through appropriate prioritization

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree, quantitative discipline preferred

  • Familiar with one or more reporting tools – Tableau / Oracle OBIEE / Brio / TIBCO Spotfire

  • 1-2 years analysis experience preferred

  • Customer Contact Center experience preferred
