Job overview and responsibilities
The Architect- Cyber Security will be making Architectural decisions and provide Security reviews in a wide variety of IT security technologies for the organization. As a technical Architect, this position will be participating Security discussions and helping the ITSRC organization to fulfill the architectural needs. This role will be collaborating with all business units internally and interacting with vendors externally. As a technical expertise, covering a wide range of IT security solutions, the position will provide a great opportunity to grow technically in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
Collaborate, co-ordinate and participate the Security Architecture Work streams of the organization
Participate in Cybersecurity Architecture sessions for planning, research and design.
Coordinate with Infrastructure, Project management, Network Engineering and Operations to ensure the Security Architecture requirements are met.
Participate in implementing the security policy, standards and integrating with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, GDPR, GLBA) into the organizational security roadmap.
Participate in multiple large-scale security projects. These projects will be developed concurrently and possess numerous interdependencies.
Act as the security representative on cross-team mission critical IT projects.
Develop technical documentations and diagrams for enterprise security solutions, systems & infrastructure
Participate in the development and delivery of IT security policies, standards and best practices.
Proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information stored & processed by and/or in the custody of United Airlines.
Conduct technical evaluations of IT systems for compliance with security policies, standards and best practices.
Maintain up to date knowledge level with latest Cybersecurity capabilities and technology trends
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field or 5 years of equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 5 years of Information Security experience with at least 3 years hands on Cyber security Architecture at enterprise scale
Knowledge and experience in information security risk management and solution implementation
Deep Subject Matter Expertise in Network Security, Firewalls, Proxy servers, Next Generation, Security technologies, IDS/IPS etc.
Strong and Proven problem-solving skill sets and the ability to resolve complex technical issues towards completion
Teamwork - Involves working well in a collaborative environment, supporting team by volunteering and completing assignments Acting as a positive team member by contributing to discussions, developing and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide, defines success in terms of the entire team through mentoring and knowledge transfer.
Technical Expertise - Demonstration

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
