Please note that this position will be hired under the Catering Operation Food Service divisional work rules.

Compensation- 11.20 Hour

Key Duties, Responsibilities, and Activities

  • Assemble and pack equipment into catering equipment according to flight diagram specifications.

  • Drive catering vehicles.

  • Packs and checks items for flight.

  • Properly position catering vehicles to aircraft to load and unload food, beverages, and catering equipment from/into aircraft.

Hours/Breaks

Shifts cover a 24-hour operation. Breaks and meal periods will be assigned

according to number of hours worked in a shift.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret paperwork and documents required to complete daily tasks.

  • Airport access badge, if required.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), if required.

  • High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED).

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Must clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check.

  • Valid driver’s license and current driving abstract (if required).

Working Conditions

The work can be indoors in a manufacturing environment or during catering of flights.

Exposure to extreme temperature and aircraft noise is possible. Employee must be

able to work in cool area at 55 degrees, enter refrigerated areas to store food at 35

degrees, and work in a climate-controlled area of 38 degrees or less.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing and walking.

  • Frequent repetitive motion, reaching and handling.

  • Lifting and carrying carriers up to 53 lbs.

  • Pushing and pulling up to 60 lbs.
