Job Overview and Responsibilities

This position is part of the Global Compliance and Ethics Office within the Legal department and is strategically located in the EMEAI region. It serves to promote the mission of and provide leadership in all aspects of the Ethics and Compliance Office and program. This position works collaboratively with members of the Ethics and Compliance Office, Legal department, Human Resources and other groups, as appropriate.

  • Promote and advance the mission of the Ethics and Compliance Office and ethics and compliance culture within EMEAI

  • Effectively increase and maintain the visibility of Ethics and Compliance Office and program within EMEAI

  • Promote awareness of the Ethics and Compliance Office, program and policies within area of responsibility

  • Serve as resource to address business conduct and compliance questions within EMEAI

  • Assist in the identification and development of ethics and compliance communications and communication strategy within EMEAI

  • Collaboratively review, develop and implement ethics and compliance policies

  • Assist in identifying and assessing compliance and ethics risks, particularly those relevant within EMEAI, including fraud, bribery and corruption risks

  • Facilitate and conduct compliance and ethics training, as appropriate, within EMEAI

  • Provide guidance to employees and business partners related to the company’s compliance and ethics policies, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption Compliance Policy

  • Identify trends; collaboratively develop and implement responses and approaches to identified trends

  • Travel within EMEAI to facilitate and promote mission of Ethics and Compliance Office and program through education, training and meetings with various levels of employees and to headquarters, as necessary

  • Coordinate with internal and external business resources in assessing adequate procedures and processes for maintaining an effective compliance program

  • Conduct, or assist in conducting periodic compliance assessments and/or audits within EMEAI

  • Receive allegations or reports of violations of the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and other allegations of non-compliance; escalate allegations as appropriate

  • Conduct, or assist in, compliance and ethics investigations, as appropriate

  • Educate local management on best compliance practices and compliance and ethics trends

  • Assume responsibility for special projects and assignments as directed

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.


  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • Effective business writing and presentation skills combined with strong interpersonal communication abilities

  • Comfort and proven ability and enthusiasm to work collaboratively across multiple corporate functions and various levels while building strong professional relationships

  • Excellent management skills and business judgment with a capacity to make decisions and give practical business/compliance advice

  • Ability to provide leadership in developing and maintaining effective ethics and compliance policies and initiatives

  • Ability to identify, develop and implement specific programs, processes and procedures that align with global standards but are tailored for EMEAI

  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with a global team

  • Ability to effectively plan for and manage travel to support responsibilities

  • Ability to creatively and effectively communicate meaningful metrics

  • Ability to provide effective guidance and assistance to the Deputy General Counsel – Global Compliance, Ethics & Security and other members of the Ethics and Compliance Office

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Experience with anti-bribery/anti-corruption compliance programs

  • Experience with employee communication programs, including speak-up campaigns

  • Experience with third party risk

  • Experience conducing or participating in broad range of employee investigations

  • Significant experience in working in an ethics and compliance program or office

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • Fluency in other European languages

  • Previous work experience in legal
