Overview

The primary role of Analyst – Procurement is to provide analytical support to the category managers in the US based Procurement teams. This position will focus on providing analytical support to different procurement activities such as development of spend analytics, vendor scorecards, supply market analysis, RFP response analysis, contract management, etc. with the goal of capturing real total cost of ownership (TCO) savings on a variety of spend categories.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support in the development of procurement strategies for assigned categories

  • Provide support in gathering and organizing data through various internal and external sources

  • Conduct analysis of market trends and potential suppliers

  • Support procurement RFP processes through various adhoc models and what-if analysis

  • Develop spend analysis reports and dashboards

  • Conduct research and communicate procurement trends for assigned categories to category leaders

  • Develop expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with category managers

  • Develop vendor scorecards to monitor spend and compliance

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferred in a quantitative field)

Knowledge/Skills

Required

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to take charge and drive initiatives

  • Organized, detail-oriented, thorough and professional

  • Team player with a positive attitude and a focus on business issues

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred

  • Collaboration skills with peers in a Procurement function as well as business stakeholders

  • Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concepts and strategic Procurement process

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an analytical role required (preferably in Procurement or related function)

Other

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
